Family History and General Information
There appears to be 2 people with unstable mental conditions in Bank’s home. The first one is the father, while the second one is Bank’s older brother. The mother took off and left everyone with the father. Bank appears to be the only child with good mental ability but there was no one to really look after him. Bank was really in need of help when he met one of our representatives. He is generally shy and likes to be left alone. He is very quiet and does not have many friends nor does he play with anybody. His teacher commends him for being quite attentive to his study Bank is currently in his 3rd and final year in the entry level (kindergarten). To help Bank with his academic study, an amount of 300 baht is being deposited monthly with his teacher in charge. The fund is for his daily per diem, text books and other educational tools, and school uniforms. Our social worker will pay regular visits to Bank for close observation and monitoring and to ensure that he has all the necessities for his academic study and schooling. (NS) June, 2009 Bank continues on with his education in his 1st year in primary educational level. Unfortunately, it has been identified that as he climbs the stairs of his academic life, Bank’s mental capability is not quite as quick and as sharp as many of his classmates. This became apparent to the teacher in charge of his class. Bank is well cared for by his older brother whose mental capability is not as good as normal people but he loves Bank. He brings Bank to school and picks Bank up every afternoon after regular classes, showing his care and his love for Bank who is the youngest brother in the family. It has been recommended to the family that Bank should be brought into our Home to live there to ease the family’s burden but the well wishing was turned down by the family, especially Bank’s father and brother, who believe that Bank should be close to them and close to the family. Continued close monitoring is to be maintained to ensure his general good behaviour and achievement in his academic study, continue. (NS) January, 2010 Bank continues to be a good boy. He is complimented by his teacher at school as one of the good boys in good behaviour and conduct at all time. Bank is now trying hard to overcome his weakness in reading and writing with the help from his teacher at school. Being a good boy, his teacher at school is quite confident that he should be able to progress well in his study. Bank is enjoying good health. (NS) |
