The School for the Blind this morning held the annual Wai Khru Ceremony, also known as Teachers Day.

It is the day when the students pay their respects and show gratitude for what their teachers do for them.

A representative from each class presented Principal Chid with a beautifully decorated floral gift, then another student presented their teacher with a jasmine garland before bowing their heads as low as possible.

Many former students returned to the school, travelling from across the country to thank their former teachers. A few returnees were older than all the current teachers, but wanted to thank them for what they are doing with the students today.

Several members of staff picked up a brooch which was left for  them by HRH Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Patron of the school, who visited earlier this month.

To all our teachers, thank you for what you do.
