Thirteen monks were waiting for the students from the Father Ray School for Children with Special Needs at a nearby temple at the beginning of Buddhist Lent.

It is a time when the monks stay at the temple for three months and in years gone by then temples were not connected to electricity they locals would present candles so the monks could read their holy scripts.

The children with special needs presented the monks not only with candles but also with food and toiletries. In return they receive a blessing.

We never turn a needy child away
